中国中央电视台发现之旅频道是隶属于中国中央电视台的北京科学教育电影制片厂与中国南方航空共同开办的以人文探索、科学揭秘类节目为主的专业付费频道，以纪录片为主。除了播放本频道的节目之外，还重播科教频道的节目。
2020年1月1日4:00，本频道与央视其余12套付费频道的高清版本正式上星播出；标清版本至同年4月1日4:00停播。

At 4:00 on January 1, 2020, the HD version of this channel and the other 12 sets of CCTV pay channels will be officially broadcast on the satellite; the SD version will be suspended until 4:00 on April 1 of the same year.
